See how easily you can take great photos!

Uncategorized

Hey Everyone,

I was thinking, a lot of people I know, that want to take photography that little bit further always try to manually do stuff on their camera, you know, thinking that they’ll make the best out of a shot they see. Well, I was thinking that, this is almost a waste of money, and here’s why…

The built in ’scene settings’, ‘best shot modes’ etc, are incredibly useful, and are part of the package that you paid for when you got your camera, so why don’t you use them.

I mean, when you get really good, and you know how to take advantage of a shot yourself, then, that’s fine, but it seems every other day I see someone messing up their potentially great photos by doing stuff themselves!

You will be amazed at how good some camera’s built in ’scene’ modes are, and you should really check them out for a bit, if you don’t like them, fine. Some camera’s don’t have good ones, but a lot, (for example, Canons, Nikons and Casios in particular), have great ones, and you should try them out!

Well, this has been my first sort of, ‘tip of the day’, kind of thing, maybe it should be more of a weekly thing, I don’t know, we’ll see how we get on!

Anyway, I hope you’re well, and thanks for the continued support with my blog, I appreciate it!

none of those modes can replace a true manual mode. Often, all those do is say okay, we know what the photogrpher wants, but not really. Plus, we’ll start changing things like saturation and colormode

Hi John, thanks so much for commenting on my blog, how exciting, my first comment.

What I’m really saying is that for the beginner, who doesn’t entirely know what’s going on yet, the scene modes can be extremely useful, I hope this clears it up!

    Thanks again,

    lol. cool.

Canon offers decent in built modes. I’ve been using them to take my first great shots. Upgraded to AV till now (lazy to use manual).

Fuji point and shoots have sensational built in modes too.
